MPA effectively implemented the use of standard bridge components to span the large channel width while avoiding the increased costs associated with constructing a major bridge structure at this site.
The location of the stream crossing is at the bottom of a sag curve. MPA designed the standard bridge to match the existing vertical alignment. In doing so, costs associated with gradeline revisions were avoided. The existing structure was left in place to accommodate traffic during construction. MPA prepared revisions to the horizontal road alignment to tie into the new bridge
